The development of the C29 has seen the team build on the experience gained last year and the improvement in performance over the final third of the season. After much negotiation it was announced that the team would return to the field in 2010 under Peter Saubers ownership.
Various rescue bids were put together and all faltered, the result being that the team was not given an entry into the world championship. The BMW Sauber F1 Team will line up in Bahrain against all odds after a horrendous 2009 campaign BMW announced that it was quitting the sport and closing the team.
